Welcome to Good Journey Counselling. My name is John. I am a qualified integrative counsellor based in Warwick, Leamington Spa and Kenilworth in South Warwickshire, UK.

I offer integrative (individual) counselling to adults over the age of 18 from a private room in Leamington Spa, online via video call and home visits.
I am a person-centred counsellor at my core, meaning that I believe in the client and counsellor relationship being key to therapeutic change. I offer compassion, non-judgement and warmth.
I use an integrative approach combining elements of various counselling theories.
My journey to becoming a counsellor evolved from my own challenges as a teenager after a diagnosis of a genetic disorder.
Like many people in the world, I have experienced anxiety, depression and issues with relationships and personal identity. I was diagnosed with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) in my 30’s which had a significant impact on my daily life including work.
It took me a while to find a counsellor that I could feel relaxed with and that I felt cared about me. When I did find the right person, I was able to explore my past experiences, diagnosis and how these impacted my experience of the world. After some time, I began to see the world differently and learn what I was able to control and what I needed to live my life fully.
I trained as a counsellor because I wanted to help people. I want people to be able to explore their thoughts, feelings and goals in a supportive and warm environment.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor. I am registered with the
National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) as my membership body.
